Fito Espínola – Guitarist, Singer, Composer

Fito Espínola is a renowned Paraguayan guitarist, singer, and composer with a dynamic career that has taken him across the globe. Born into a family deeply passionate about music, Fito began his artistic journey at the age of seven, performing for school audiences and joining the acclaimed group Arpas y Guitarras Guaraní. He later founded his own band, The Liras, solidifying his place in Paraguay’s music scene.

In 1996, Fito moved to Grand Cayman, where he performed as part of The Paraguayan Duo and as a soloist in prestigious venues, eventually recording his first album, Nostálgica. His international career flourished with performances in Cuba, Bermuda, Ireland, and the United States. In 1998, he relocated to Miami, where he co-founded the band Payé alongside his brother. With a unique fusion of flamenco, Brazilian rhythms, African beats, and Latin American sounds, Payé became a sensation in South Florida, producing two albums and contributing to the soundtrack of Romane Romance Gitano.

As a solo artist, Fito released two albums, Sin Ti Soy Nada and Fito Espínola, and performed at iconic venues in Miami. His collaborations extended to major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Holland America, as part of the hit show Olé Olé.

A notable achievement in his career was co-authoring Simplemente Te Quiero, featured on Chino & Nacho’s Latin Grammy-nominated album Radio Universo. Fito’s contributions to this project underscore his status as a key figure in contemporary Latin music, collaborating with artists like Farruko, Gente de Zona, and Jerry Rivera.

Fito has also been part of significant international collaborations, including Forbidden Saints, a genre-defying group that blends classical, flamenco, rock, jazz, and Latin rhythms. Performing alongside renowned musicians such as Armen Movsessian (violin) and Alexander Zhiroff (cello), Fito brought his unique style to global stages, including a celebrated performance in Armenia in 2012.

Currently, Fito is relaunching his debut album, Nostálgica, as a symphonic project, combining the richness of orchestral arrangements with his signature Latin and flamenco influences. With a commitment to excellence and cultural preservation, Fito continues to explore new frontiers in music, connecting with audiences around the world and sharing the diverse heritage of his artistry.
